Dr. Mark Andersen was born and raised in Michigan and is a graduate of Cass Technical High School in Detroit. He started his college career in 1966 at Michigan State University as a Chemistry major. Two years later, he transferred to Florida State University and changed majors to marine biology. His interest changed and in 1971 he graduated with a degree in biology.
Dr. Alicia Emerson grew up in Port Orange, Florida and attended Spruce Creek High School. After receiving her Bachelors in Biology from University of Central Florida in 1990, she went on to earn her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. After graduating, she moved to Middletown, Connecticut and began her career as a small animal general practitioner. Over the next four years she focused on her skills in soft tissue surgery and treating sick patients for several animal rescue groups and Humane Societies.
Dr. Pamela Eastlake Schrager was raised in Port Orange, Florida and is a graduate of Spruce Creek High School. She completed her undergraduate and veterinary degrees at the University of Florida, graduating with high honors in 1995. She then completed a one year Small Animal Medicine/Surgery/Emergency Internship at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Katie Malensek was born and raised in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. She attended Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology before moving to Port Orange, Florida in 2005. Dr. Malensek completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2008 in addition to completing her Certification in Animal Chiropractic from the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Dr. Malensek enjoyed her time with animals so much that she returned to veterinary school and graduated Valedictorian with special honors in small animal surgery and diagnostic imaging in 2012 from St. Matthew’s University after completing her clinical year at University of Florida.
